How it all began

For my 18th birthday, I wanted to organise a memorable celebration. This gave me a solid sense of accountability since I had to respect a tight budget and I learned how to achieve my party-goals within budget. On top came a few surprises which made this celebration one of the most beautiful days of my life. Surrounded by family and friends at a party I organized. I just loved that feeling!
The second event

Near the end of the senior year in high school, we typically set up a dance -Prom Night. This needs to be organized by students, who even have to collect the funds themselves. With two other students, we eagerly started planning this event for over 200 participants! Posters, sponsors, picture corner, staff, drinks, music, decorations, ticketing… It was unforgettable, the planning journey as the evening itself! Yes, I think organizing events is something I’d like to do for a job!
Opening up new horizons

Starting University, I joined a student association. Quicker than expected, the opportunity came for me to travel in the scope of the expansion of this association. Off I went to Nepal with some colleagues. While working on this expansion with Nepalese students, we also worked at an orphanage. We implemented a long-term solution for their fundraising. The orphanage provided us with housing and we helped the students with their homework and organized games. That’s when I realised just how much organising makes me happy and incidentally I also fell in love with Asia.
